MIL Standard Test Facility

REThe rapid increase in the use of electrical / electronic sub system in vehicles has led to the generation of unwanted electromagnetic emission (Pollution) from it. All the electrical / electronic sub assemblies used in the vehicle as well as the whole vehicle has to tested for EMC in compliance to the core directive for automotive 2004 / 104 / EC. The international standards like SAE, JASO, VDE, CISPR, EEC directive etc., and also various manufacturers standard specifies the EMI / EMC requirement of the vehicles and of the electrical / electronic subsystems to be used in vehicles.

SAMEER centre for electromagnetic has the state-of-the-art facility to test theTransient Pulses compliance level of automobiles and automotive electronic sub assemblies as per the EMC directive 2004 / 104 / EC. The centre has the 10m ferrite lined semi anechoic chamber with a turn table capability of 3 ton / 3m diameter to measure the Radiated Emission from the light motor vehicles, two wheelers, three wheelers, and Electrical / Electronic sub assemblies. The chamber is will equiped for vehicle testing had has necessary provisions like the ramp for bringing the vehicle, exaust facility etc. The facility is well equipped to conduct the measurements in compliance to CISPR 25, AIS 004, 95 / 54 EC, 97 / 24 EC, 2004 / 104 EC / ISO 7637 – 3, ISO 10605 SAJ1113, ISO 11452-2.

The centre is equipped RF power amplifiers uotp 500W for the Radiated Immunity Test with the high power Broadband antennae to generate the Electromagnetic field strength upto 100 V/m as required by ISO 11452-2, 2004 / 104 EC, 95 / 54 EC standards.

Conducted TransientsThe centre has excellent facility to conduct Bulk Current injection test upto 400mA in the frequency range 10 kHz - 400 MHz as per ISO 11452-4.

The TEM cell is available for the Radiated Immunity Test on subassemblies and is capable of generating upto 75 V/m in the frequency range DC to 200 MHz as per ISO 1452-3.

BCIThe Conducted Transient Immunity Test Setup with capacitive coupling clamp in SAMEER covers pulse-1, pulse-2, pulse-3, pulse-4, pulse-5a, pulse-5b, pulse-6 and pulse7 as per ISO 7637-2, ISO 7637-3, SAE J1113-11, FORD-ES-XW7T-1A278-AC.

The Conducted Transient Emission Test Setup at SAMEER with digital storage oscilloscope (1000MHz bandwidh), 5µH/50 ohm LISN and Electronic switch is capable to conduct the time domain Conducted Transient Emission as per FORD-ES-XW7T-1A278-AC, ISO 7637-2.

The Electrostatic Discharge Test Setup to check the compliance level of vehicles and Electrical / Electronic sub assemblies against human body static discharge. The discharge network is capable of generating ± 25 kV in contact discharge, ± 30 kV air discharge with the charging capacitance of 150Pf and 330Pf and discharge resistance of 2000 ohms as per SAE J1113-13, ISO 10605.
