B. CUSTOMER SPECIFIC SERVICES 

Customers shall obtain a separate confirmation and quotation, for the following types of Customer specific services offered. Charges for these services will be calculated on a case to case basis, by the Contract Review Committee (CRC) of the EMC Division: 

  

1.     Standard tests, but with extended test frequency ranges, Equipment specifications, modified test set-ups etc. 

2.     Electromagnetic Shielding Effectiveness test for shielded enclosures, cables etc. 

3.     Ambient field measurements for power line disturbances and radiated fields 

4.     Ground Resistance measurements. 

5.     EMC Design projects, where the customer’s product/system design is to be analysed for solving EMI problems with/without incorporation of design changes in the product/ system. 

6.     Field problem analysis with/without  implementation of solutions. 

7.     A complete product design service, for the customer’s specifications.  

8.     Any other customer specific requirement. 

Terms and Conditions for EMC Testing

  

A. EMC Testing : 

1.       Unless specified, the test charges quoted are for performing one test on a single sample of specific equipment, in one of its functional mode only. 

  

2.       An additional 50% of test charges will be billed for the following cases during a specific test assignment for testing  additional  Functional Mode / Power Line Pair /  Data Line Pair of same sample carried out during the allotted times slot and not at later date. 

  

3.       20% concession on the test charges given to SSI units for commercial EMC Testing only, subject to submission of a copy of SSI registration certificate before commencement of the assignment.  

  

4.       For any multiple Nos. of reports additional charges of Rs.500/- will be paid by the customer per report. 

  

5.       Any balance amount, if any, of the final total test charges to be paid after completion of the tests, but before the issue of the test report. 

  

  

B. Technical Terms: 

      All the accessories for the normal operation / Monitoring of the test samples, including D.C Supply, loads, batteries, cables, tools, wires etc., shall be brought by the customer. SAMEER-CEM will provide only a single-phase (16A) / three phase (25 A per phase) A.C. 50 Hz power supply. 

  

      One technical representative of the customer, knowledgeable about the equipment to be tested, is preferable to be present at the test venue during the execution of this service contract 

  

C. Other Terms: 

1.       Responsibility of transporting test samples to and from SAMEER-CEM, loading/unloading, packing / unpacking, internal movement, making the test sample operational during testing, etc. lies with the customer.

  

2.       Equipment under Test & its all the accessories equipments shall be removed from SAMEER-CEM by the customer immediately after the testing is completed.  SAMEER-CEM does not take any responsibility to store, forwarded items / EUT left by customers after testing. 

3.       No claim shall be made by the customer for any unforeseen damage caused to the test samples, which may occur out of control of SAMEER-CEM personnel, during the process of the testing. 

4.       This quotation does not include charges for any consultancy from SAMEER-CEM, if required to solve identified compliance problems in customers’ test samples. If such need arises, customers may contact our Customer Care Cell, for signing a separate contracts in this regard. 

5.       Any refund claim, arising out of partial execution / complete termination of the Service contract, shall be entertained by SAMEER-CEM, only after preparation of the final bill for the job completed. 

6.       Usage of our name by the customers, in the media advertisements such as TV, Newspapers, etc., requires prior written permission from us. 

7.       No claim shall be made by the customer in case the service contract is not carried out on confirmed dates by SAMEER-CEM due to circumstances beyond its control.  However, SAMEER-CEM will make best effort to keep up the contract schedule. 

8.       Any dispute that may arise out of this service contract is subject to the jurisdiction of Chennai only.
