Terms and Conditions for
EMC Testing
A. Payment Terms:
1. Unless specified, the test charges quoted are for performing one
test on a single sample of specific equipment, in one of its
functional mode only.
2. An additional 50% of test charges will be billed for the
following during a specific test assignment.
For testing each additional test sample
For each additional functional mode of the same sample
For each additional power line pair of same sample
For each additional data line pair of same sample
3. 20% concession on the test charges given to SSI units, subject to
submission of a copy of SSI registration certificate.
4. Usually only one test report will be issued. For any multiple
numbers of reports additional charges of Rs.500/- will be paid by
the customer per report.
5. Any balance amount, if any, of the final total test charges to be
paid after completion of the tests, but before the issue of the test
report.
B. Technical Terms:
1. All the accessories for the normal operation of the test samples,
including D.C Supply, loads, batteries, cables, tools, wires etc.,
shall be brought by the customer. SAMEER-CEM will provide only a
single-phase (16A) / three phase (25 A per phase) A.C. 50 Hz power
supply.
2. One technical representative of the customer, knowledgeable about
the equipment to be tested, is preferable to be present at the test
venue during the execution of this service contract
C. Other Terms :
1. Responsibility of transporting test samples to and from
SAMEER-CEM, loading/unloading, packing / unpacking, internal
movement, making the test sample operational during testing, etc.
lies with the customer.
2. SAMEER-CEM will take responsibility for the safe keeping of the
test samples for one week after the testing is completed. Any test
sample that is not taken back within one week after the assignment
will be shifted to the “Unclaimed Article Storage Area” of
SAMEER-CEM and SAMEER will not assure any responsibility for the
safe keeping of the test sample. Any test sample, unclaimed for more
than 6 months, from the date of such shifting will be declared as
‘Condemned’ and disposed. SAMEER-CEM does not assume any
responsibility for damage caused to the test samples, if any, during
such shifting and storage.
3. No claim shall be made by the customer for any unforeseen damage
caused to the test samples, which may occur out of control of
SAMEER-CEM personnel, during the process of the testing.
4. This quotation does not include charges for any consultancy from
SAMEER-CEM, if required to solve identified compliance problems in
customers’ test samples. If such need arises, customers may contact
our Customer Care Cell, for signing a separate contract in this
regard.
5. Any refund claim, arising out of partial execution / complete
termination of the Service contract, shall be entertained by
SAMEER-CEM, only after preparation of the final bill for the job
completed.
6. Usage of our name by the customers, in the media advertisements
such as TV, Newspapers, etc., requires prior written permission from
us.
7. No claim shall be made by the customer in case the service
contract is not carried out on confirmed dates by SAMEER-CEM due to
circumstances beyond its control. However, SAMEER-CEM will make best
effort to keep up the contract schedule.
8. Any dispute that may arise out of this service contract is
subject to the jurisdiction of Chennai only.
9. Any unscheduled / urgent test request may be considered on
express demand basis and would be charged extra at the discretion of
head of EMC Division on case to case basis depending on the
availability of test facility / engineers.
Terms and Conditions for Equipment
Deployment
A. Payment Terms:
1. 100% of the estimated total test charges shall be paid, in
advance. The balance amount, if any, of the Final total test charges
to be paid after completion of the tests, but before the issue of
the test report.
2. All payments shall be made through D.D., drawn in favour of
“SAMEER-Centre for Electromagnetics”,
Payable at Chennai.
B. Technical Terms:
1. One SAMEER-CEM Test Engineer will assist in operating the test
and measuring equipments.
2. Test plan should be accepted by SAMEER-CEM before test.
3. No guidance will re given for Test Plan and Test Standards.
4. Test results will not be documented and no test
report/certificate will be issued by SAMEER-CEM.
5. Maximum Two samples will be allowed per day per test set up.
6. The customer will be given printout / plot of the final test
results, only at the end of final testing for emission tests.
